Richard Beese as a sports lover always loves to share inspirational stories regarding sports. Sport fans help to make sport come alive. In this blog, Richard Beese views shares his views on a great Inspirational event – Paralympics.
Paralympics is a major international multi-sport event for athletes with disabilities. This includes athletes with amputations, mobility disabilities, blindness, and Cerebral Palsy. All Paralympics Games are governed by the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) and held every four years. Qualification rules for each of the Paralympic sports are set by the International Federation (IF) that governs that sport’s international competition. Matt Crossen’s word describes Paralympics in best way. He says that “You have to follow your dreams, don’t give up. Disability does not mean you can’t do anything, you still have ability.” Paralympics Athletes Are a True Inspiration for Seriously Injured People around the globe. It helps to destroy the myth that a life-changing injury has to be life-ending. A variety of Sports at the Paralympic Games includes Archery, Athletics, Cycling, Goalball, Equestrian, Football 5-a-side, Football 7-a-side etc. The Paralympics is an opportunity for us to see beyond the physical disabilities, to see the truly “superabled” individuals.
Richard Beese feels excited about 2016 Summer Paralympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, from 7 to 18 September 2016. There are winter and Summer Paralympics Games. Some Paralympics stars that we would love to watch are Elizabeth Marks, Daniel Dias, Melissa Tapper, Jason Smyth. The Games have shown that people can adapt and overcome anything, no matter what the situations are. Paralympics athletes are proof that with dedication and determination everything is possible. It is all about the will power of a person, strong will power can make anything possible.
Paralympics athletes are those who have replaced the each bit of negativity with positivity. Paralympics games is a great example to show that even a serious injury can still result in long and fulfilling life. So, on days when you feel upset and too time-challenged to be active, just remember that we all are superhuman. But remember also that getting even halfway there will take some efforts. For efforts to reach at superhuman level and truly nourish our self we need to be inspired.
Richard Beese is highly inspired by the concept of Paralympics. He love this quote “….What I learned was that these athletes were not disabled, they were superabled. The Olympics is where heroes are made. The Paralympics is where heroes come.” Joey Reiman
